The history o the Lhakhang Pangbisa Ugyen Guru Lhakhang has the Kudung's head of Terton Sherab Mebar. Terton Sherab Mebar came to Ha valley from Kham (Tibet) in the 15th century. Above Ha valley there is a lake called Nuptshonapatra. From the bed of that lake Terton Sherab Mebar took out a trumpet, a drum, and a pair of cymbals by putting entire water of the lake into his mouth through his miraculous powers.   Along with those items he also found a golden pillar which Terton wants to offer to Paro Dzong. He asked some carpenters to cut out for him and as a reward the carpenters were asked to take the shavings of the pillar.  The carpenters became very greedy and started cutting the pillar in such a way that whole chunks dropped off from it. Watching their greediness Terton signaled with his head and warned them to stop as he could not talk but the carpenter paid no heed and took out more shavings of gold from the Pillar. 📑 Reflection 0n use of ICT educational tools in teaching and learning

Reflection 0n the use of ICT n teaching and learning The way we learn and teach has been completely transformed by the application of educational ICT (information and communication technology) technologies. The technology that makes up these tools span a wide range, including computers, software programs, online resources, multimedia equipment, and interactive platforms. The many ICT tool categories—communicative, constructive, co-constructive, situating, and informative—each offers distinct advantages and potential for the educational environment. Here is some analysis of each of these tools: 1.       Communicative Tools: ICT tools that facilitate communication, such as email, instant messaging, discussion forums, and video conferencing, have significantly enhanced collaboration and interaction among students and teachers. 📑 Critical analysis of learning experience

Reflection on ICT as Constructive Tool One of the key messages from the session was “ICT is one of the effective methods to help construct and build knowledge.” It serves as a tool for manipulating information, constructing knowledge and visualizing our understanding. As the word ‘construction’ suggests, I learned that it helps us in stimulating our brain by developing critical and creative thinking skills. These skills help us to build motivation to learn and explore further for information.  The session on April 27th focused on collecting class data on each student’s weight and height information. Using the information collected, we then manipulated and organized the data by using formulas for categorization. To visualize our understanding, we created a graph which helped me to gain a clear understanding of the data collected. We also designed one-page stimulated advertisement to attract visitors using a PowerPoint presentation program where we used animation. In continuation of the

Zhana Cham

The Zhanag (ཞྭ་ནག་) or Black Hat dance is one of the most popular sacred cham dances without mask seen in Bhutan and other parts of the Buddhist Himalayas. Named after the black hats which the dancers wear, the dance has a deep spiritual significance and is performed as an act of religious ritual and practice, and not as a piece of entertainment. The dancers of the Zhanag dance are dressed in long silk robe called phoego (ཕོད་གོ་), which is tied around the hip from within using a special prop so that the robe whirls smoothly and elegantly when the dancers perform whirling movements. The robes are made of different colours of silk brocade and have striped patterns on the main body as well as the sleeves, which have a very broad end. The dancers wear the dorji gong (རྡོ་རྗེ་གོང་) shoulder cover and a dark apron with the wrathful face on it and tassels at the bottom. Inside the robe, the dancers wear their usual clothes and a pair of pink trousers. For the Zhanag dance, when people can aff
